| What is the Summer Business Institute? |
- ABL’s Summer Business Institute (SBI) is a unique program that combines cutting-edge teaching methodologies, core values, and academic rigor in a fun, loving, and nurturing environment
- SBI is a one-of-a-kind program specifically designed to prepare the next generation of talented leaders from all socio-economic, ethnic, and educational backgrounds, with a focus on underserved high-unrealized-potential youths.
- ABL enables youth from all socio-economic backgrounds to learn from each other in a caring and exciting environment that fosters better understanding and the breaking down of stereotypes on all sides.
- In all of its programs, ABL promotes a real world environment of diversity to train our future transformational leaders to work together with people from all walks of life
- We unlock our SBI scholars’ passion and genius through immersion in a college environment; instruction by top MBA graduates; college students from prestigious universities nationwide; and access and exposure at the highest levels to Fortune 500 corporations, major institutions, and leaders of our time.
- We give all our students a ten-to-twenty year head start, inspiring them to see themselves as Leaders NOW™ who will rise to become the future conscientious corporate, entrepreneurial, philanthropic, and civic leaders of America and the world, while inculcating in them the value of giving back NOW™.
- We are proud of our results: A 2010 survey of SBI alumni (seventh graders from 2004 up to seniors through 2010) revealed that 100% of them graduated from high school, and 100% of them are attending colleges and universities nationwide, including elite ones such as Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Duke, Georgetown, George Washington, Harvard, Stanford, UC Berkeley, UCLA, USC, Yale, and others.

| What do our SBI students get out of this program? |
- Up to 160 hours of instruction by MBA Instructors from top universities such as Harvard Business School, Wharton School, Kellogg School of Management, and others
- Critical thinking, reading, writing, and presentation skills
- Power networking training and competition with ABL’s Refounder, President & CEO
- Entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship training
- Computer training in Microsoft Office, Business Plan Pro, and Stock-Trak
- Business etiquette training
- Transformational Leadership training that includes life skills, ethics, and ABL’s 7 Core Values
- Leadership training
- Fictitious stock market trading and Personal finance training
- Integrated college campus setting where students attend class daily
- Interaction with executives and up to eight field trips (per student) to various Fortune 500 companies and other influential corporations and organizations in a variety of fields
- At least one meal provided a week (field trips)
- Vision and goal setting for future success
- Individualized Action Plan™ for college
- Up to $2,075 worth of scholarships for various competitions
- 10-20 year head start in life, business concepts, and the intangibles for success
- 5-10 high school credits within the districts of LAUSD, Alhambra, Norwalk-La Mirada, and Montebello, and others through petition. Possible college credit through student’s petition

Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The program runs June 27- July 29, 2011
